These days there are more and more women and men choosing to get wrist tattoos.  If you have been considering getting a wrist tattoo you should read this article first.  It will help you identify some of the unique qualities good and bag of wrist tattoos and help you to know what you are getting into.  Wrist tattoo are very popular and there are a lot of great possibilities with wrist tattoos however, you have to know what you are in for and plan the design ahead to overcome some of the downsides.

When you are choosing a design and working with a professional tattoo artist or just picking some stock flash you want to pick something that is not too detailed or overly intricate.  If it is either one of these things delicate, intricate or too fine it will eventually become an ink spot.  Keep it simple with clean lines.

The Bad News
Well first expect that like many tattoos you are bound to have to get some touch up work done on it.  The wrist gets a lot of movement so it is always going to need touch up work done.  This is the case with all tattoos but areas on the body that have more movement need to get touched up more frequently.

Also plan on a bit more pain then you have experienced with your other tattoos.  Pain tolerance is of course different depending on the person so keep that in mind.  However, traditional and generally speaking wrist tattoos are more painful then getting tattooed on other rare as of the body.  Since in this area the bone is very close to the skin there is not much cushion or padding and it tends to hurt more.

Wrist tattoos are definitely one of the most popular designs on the market right now and it seems like many people want to get wrists or even half sleeves.  Many women are choosing these tattoo designs now also.  If you are still considering getting a wrist tattoo be prepared for the pain and touch up and take your time to come up with a design that you love but is not to intricate and you will end up with a winning tattoo.

You can go many routes to find lower back tattoos for women, but most routes don’t work. You either wind up staring at an endless amount of awfully generic designs, or you get dragged to a gallery that doesn’t even have what you want, even thought they said they did. Does this routine sound familiar? If it does, let me share one of the most important tips I learned, which you can use when looking around for great lower back tattoos for women.

Just to let you know, this is going to be so much simpler than you’re thinking, too…

Don’t Rely Too Heavily on Search-Engines. That’s it. Do you realize how many people use them on a daily and weekly basis to look for tattoos? Just to throw out a percentage, I believe it’s around 98%. That’s a huge, huge amount of people, and worst of all, they are all being mislead, because generic laced artwork galleries galore show up n their lists. Unless you thoroughly enjoy seeing the most generic lower back tattoos for women, it’s probably time to stop using them. It’s the #1 reason why hundreds of thousands of ladies get tattooed with cookie cutter artwork. The saddest part about this is that just about all of those ladies regret it down the road, but it’s too late by that time. Removal of the tat is not fun and doesn’t have very good results. Don’t get me wrong, because I still love engines. I just stay away from them when it comes to looking for real artwork.

Tattos are getting more and more popular these days as they rise from being a subculture to now being in the mainstream.  Gone are the days when ink used to be for bikers only, prisoners,  sailors or gangsters.  In the present society, everyone from soccer mom to business exec, even senior citizens and professionals seem to want to have a touch of that infamous ink on their body.  They have become a sexy and fashionable expression of one’s personality.  Here are the top most favored designs by both men and women.

Rib tattoos are becoming the new sexy and hot trend as more and more tat enthusiasts are choosing  this type of theme for their body ink.  The rib cage is a great canvas for the tattoo artist to work on. Large body ink with  detailed and intricate art can be accommodated in this area. Rib tattoos can highlight the natural curvatures of one’s body making it more sexy and appealing.

Tribal tattoos are classic and timeless as they are always in the trend.  They are favored by both men and women as they are very much part of the tattoo history as it originated way back during pre industrial times when ancient people cluster in tribes and tattoos are used to reflect their social status and religious values.  Nowadays, any tattoos with tribal touch seem to represent and give honor to the early people who discovered this amazing body art.

Textual tattoos are continually rising in popularity as both men and wome are opting for this design instead of images.  Text such as quotations, verse from the bible, lines from poems or favorite songs are some of the commom choices.  Fonts such as scripts and old english styles are used to portrayed these text on different body areas such as rib, back, shoulder blade and arm.

Back tattoos are another sexy option for both men and women.  This is executed in a body canvas that is flat, smooth and large so the possibilities for a superb body art are endless. With a tattoo this magnitude, one has to consider careful planning and sufficient time in determining what designs  to go for.  Men usually go for the full back tattoos or start out with the upper back area.  Women want to be noticeable with their lower back tats with favorites such as butterfly, flowers and tribal art.

Tattoo for women designs are great works of art. Many women would certainly consider getting inked because of the great many designs available. As with every decision though, there are common questions that you might wan to ask first before you do get a tattoo. Here are the top three questions to ask.

What are the best, sexiest or cutest designs?

This is probably the most common question. Go to any girl tattoo forum and you will surely encounter girls who want to know the answer to this. The truth is that there is no single answer for it. Everything depends on what you personally like and what fits you. There are however a couple of enduring design categories that women favor. You might want to consider some of them.

Flowers – Floral designs have always been on top of the list. Flowers, vines and leaves simply convey femininity. Strategic placements can also send out the message of sexiness. Be careful with your choice of flower though. Not all kinds of flowers have positive symbolic meanings.

Tribal – Tribal designs were once only for men. Women however, can actually look just as good. This is especially when the design is placed in appropriate places. You can have one on your wrist, hip, lower back or arm. Make sure to research on the particular tribal meaning of your design.

Winged Designs – Winged creatures are also popular tattoo for women designs. You would look feminine but strong with a butterfly or an angel. Winged fantasy creatures are also an option. You can go for fairies or winged unicorns.

What are the best places to place a tattoo on?

This is also quite a popular question. A lot of people would actually counsel you to pick a spot that you like. Nobody should have to dictate where you want your tattoo. On second thought, there are some practical considerations for tattoo placement.

Personality – Your personality and work can determine tattoo placement. If you are reserved or if you have a job with strict dress code rules, then you should think twice about placing a tattoo in a prominent spot. You might want to consider a spot that can be partially hidden.

Bad Spots – Some spots are not good areas to place tattoos on. A well-done tattoo on your foot for example may seem great. The ink on foot tattoos however can easily smear. Foot tattooing and after care can also be painful and inconvenient. Areas in a woman’s body that are prone to flabbiness and sagging are also not good spots.

Best Spots – There are a couple of popular tattoo areas. One of the most popular is the lower back. This area is obviously a sexy spot to have a tattoo on. Many people however now view this spot as unoriginal.

What do men or people think of women with tattoos?

Yes, some women still worry about what others think. This shouldn’t matter to you if you it is your personal decision to get a tattoo. You should know though that there are still a couple of people and men who think tattoos are tramp stamps. If you aren’t a tramp at all, then there is no reason for you to get overly affected by such labels.

There is no denying the recent boom in tattoos, especially tattoos for the lower back.  You don’t have to look very hard to see an example of one of  these tattoos.  The chances are someone you know well has got one.  Even though they are commonly found and have been subject to some negative publicity their popularity remains across the globe.

It is not difficult to see why these tattoos are still popular.  Many consider the placement and design of these tattoos attractive and sensual on a woman’s body.  These tattoos draw attention to the curves of a woman’s waist and behind.  A tattoo is this position could make a woman feel more sexually empowered and improve her confidence.

Lower back tattoo designs are designed and shaped to flatter this area of the body.  Designs usually narrow towards the bottom of the design to flatter womanly curves and draw your eye down.  Tribal designs are perhaps the most common lower back tattoo design and their bold lines make a big impact.  In keeping with the theme of femininity and sexuality, many opt for feminine designs with soft lines.  Flowers, hearts, stars and ribbons are also commonly asked for in this region.  

As mentioned above, the surge in popularity of lower back tattoos for women and been accompanied, as it often the case, by negative press.   Women who got tattoos in this area were subject to judgements concerning ‘loose morals’ associated with this type of tattoo.  They have even developed their own nicknames, ‘tramp-stamp’ and ‘slag-tag’, are just two delightful aliases these tattoos go by.

It is, of course, ridiculous to suggest that there is any connection between lower back tattoos and loose morals.  It just seems to be that the sheer popularity of these tattoos goes against them.  Tattoos are often thought of as an expression of personality and a personal art form.  I hazard a guess that the negative publicity received by these tattoos is more down to their lack of originality than the personality traits of the wearer.

Despite this bad press, lower back tattoos for women do not show any sign of falling out of favour anytime soon.  In fact, a close personal friend of mine who happens to be an amazing (and very busy!) tattoo artist.  He tells me that due to the bad reputation these tattoos and the similarity of many lower back tattoo designs is causing women to have more unique designs tattooed over the top of the original.  If you find a good tattooist he or she should be able to cover your tattoo completely beyond recognition.  To do this, go and see your tattooist.  They will look at your existing tattoo and tailor your design ideas to fit around your existing tattoo.  This is to ensure the best possible job.  After all, it is going to be a lot more difficult to cover it up a second time.

We’ve all seen tattoos of butterflies. There are the delicate, small, rounded shape ones like the white butterflies. There are the large, intricate style butterflies that look like their wings are made of stained glass such as the monarch butterfly. Some have long extensions on the hind wings like the swallowtails. They are all beautiful. Butterfly tattoos look especially sexy on women. They are fragile, lightweight insects with strikingly beautiful colors. They exemplify the female form and should be worn proudly. Women love beautiful things. Women and butterflies belong together.

Both women and butterflies have wonderful, curvy forms. They both have delicate, soft texture and are very pleasing to the eye. The fact that the butterfly tattoo can be any size is also important. You can have a small tattoo on the ankle or hip bone. You can place a larger butterfly on the shoulder or above the breast. Or… you can choose to ink a very large butterfly tattoo in the middle of your lower back. Just about any place on the body will work for such a beautiful tattoo.

One of the main reasons that butterflies make sexy tattoos for women are the choice of colors. You can pretty much ink a butterfly in ANY color. Choose colors to match your eyes, or hair. Some of these colors are almost iridescent. Also, look at the designs on some butterflies. Many look as if the wings are a large face with eyes. This choice of color and design is what lends the butterfly tattoo to so many different types of women.

Don’t forget to think about the pose of the butterfly. It can be flying, perched on a branch, both wings up and together (when they are at rest), or grouped together in a field of flowers.

Before inking a tattoo of a butterfly on your body, spend some time looking at butterfly websites for the the perfect style you like. Choose the color, shape, design, size, pose, placement etc. All of these aspects come into play when creating a sexy tattoo. There are so many to choose from – you want to make the right decision. When you have chosen exactly what you want then you are ready to have the butterfly tattoo design inked on.

Looking around the web for a quality tattoo for women can be a difficult and draining task. I know so many females who are spending days and weeks looking through one generic websites after another and only coming up with cookie cutter designs. It’s a shame to see this, but it can be reverse pretty easily. If you want to find a “quality” tattoo for women, I will show you a sensational way to find the galleries that feature them.

Before we get right to that point, there is something you need to know. If feel that you will greatly benefit from knowing exactly “why” so many females are not finding quality tattoos. It’s because of search engines. I know, they usually pull up websites which have exactly what you are looking for, but this is not the case when it comes down to looking for good tattoos. When you implement search engines to find a tattoo for women, what you get is a gigantic sea of low end galleries and they are all stuffed with only generic, cookie cutter designs.

Now, this is fine if you are the type of person who likes cookie cutter type tattoos that thousands of people probably have tattooed on their body. I assume you want something more original and a little bit better quality, though. Looking for a good tattoo for women is hard enough, without have to work your way through and around this insane amount of generic, eleven year old art.

Also, gone are the days of going into your local parlor and picking something off of the wall. A good portion of these stores haven’t updated their inventory in over a decade. They have the same generic designs that hundreds of other stores have. What you really need is an alternate way of hunting down the perfect tattoo for women. Not only that, but you want to find something that fits “your” tastes. Don’t go picking tattoos simply because that style is the “cool” way to go, or because many other people are doing it. That will cause you to regret getting tattoos in the first place once you realize what a stupid choice it was in a couple of years.

Now, onto finding a great tattoo for women. The best way to accomplish this is by diving into the larger internet forums of the web. Not only will you be able to find any good tattoo for women you want, but you are going to be able to find all of the hidden galleries you’ve been missing out on. The large forums are simply stuffed with past and present topics on the subject of tattoos. This is where any person can scan through the topics and get a first hand peek at where females around the world have found quality tattoos. It’s that simple when looking for a good tattoo for women.
