What is so bad about a women getting a tattoo on her forearm?
I am wanting to get a tattoo of my daughters name and the japanese symbol for daughter on my left forearm but my husband doesnt want me to get a visibal tattoo. He told me that its tacky for women to have visibal tattoos..Does any other guy think that?

It’s your body and you can dye if you want to.
Well, i’m not a guy, but Personally, i also think tatoos are TACKY, TACKY, TACKY!!!
I am not a guy, but I do not feel there is nothing wrong with that. Some people hide their tattoos because of work issues. Some employers do not allow tattoos to be shown by male or female. Maybe you can get the tattoo on your shoulder, you can better cover it up if your job is VERY strict.
Nothing, a tattoo don’t make you tacky.
Hey- Go for it!!! Just remember it’s forever.
I have my daughter’s name on my arm in Japanese. I get a lot of compliments on it. They aren’t tacky unless they don’t compliment your body and personality. Women aren’t supposed to do anything a man does, but that is to damn bad…get tatted up girlfriend.
To manly.
I’m not a guy, but I am a girl with 5 tattoos. I personally wouldn’t get one on that part of my arm because its hard to cover up if you ever needed to. Plus, on girls I just think tattoos there look kinda manly. There are so many other better places you could put it like on your shoulder blade or your back somewhere or your ankle…
I am a women and I dont feel anything wrong with it. Its far from tacky.I recently just got a half sleeve and I love it. I dont regret it and I got it for me, no one else but for myself. If someone doesnt like it then Oh well it not on them. My fiancee was pretty cautious about me getting it but I convinced him of how bad I did. Now he loves it. It makes me who I am. I got a picec of art on me that will always be there and I will always be proud of it and of who I am. I say if it would make you happy then why not?? IF you do go forth with it good luck and Im sure your husband will like it after its all done, besides its there forever he wont have a choice
it’s your body. if that’s what you want, and where you want it, then go for it. i know lots of ladies with very visible tattoos (myself included), and none of them are tacky.
I was always told don’t get anything you cant cover up with business casual .I personally disagree .My advise on anyone considering a tattoo is am I going to want this on my body in 20 years when skin starts to change and if I don’t will I have the money to have it removed. I think it would be beautiful to honor your daughter that way.
personally, to me only some girls can pull off arm/fully visible tattoos. it’s just more natural looking on some girls, and i can’t explain it, it just depends on the female. and another thing, usually when tattoos DO look good on a girl, they normally have more than one, they have many..one normally never looks right on a chick…but that’s just my opinion, do what makes YOU happy, and i gurantee you there is atleast one other person that’ll like it! that’s all that matters.
there’s nothing wrong w/ that. i dont do tattoos but i dont think that’s one bit tacky. & i dont get why it’s not ok for WOMEN TO have visible tattoos. what about guys?
I have two, one completely around my upper forearm, another around my wrist on my other arm, and have had them since I was 18. I am 28 now, and although I don’t regret them, ( one is REALLY big ), I have two children in school now and I find myself hiding my tattoos under long sleeve shirts from their teachers in the summer, and also from my husbands family during family gatherings (even though they know I have them ). I just don’t like to give the wrong impression or make anyone feel uncomfortable, but at the same time, I wouldn’t take back my decision to get them. Formal social events in warm weather do pose some clothing related problems for me, though. It’s really hot!!!
i don’t think it’s tacky for a girl to have a visible tattoo or a tattoo on their forearm but i think the tattoo you are describing may look out of place. some tattoos look better than others on certain parts of the body. usually a full oblong tattoo looks best on the forearm. not something small and so alone. just my opinion.
