Would this be a good gift to get my wife in honor of her 5th tattoo? Men and women’s opinion welcomed.?

Question by tbqs02: Would this be a good gift to get my wife in honor of her 5th tattoo? Men and women’s opinion welcomed.?
When I met my wife I didn’t like tattoos and she had 2 of them. Over a few years I realized that tattoos are fine and I encouraged her to get a 3rd and 4th one, both of which were gifts from me. After her 4th one she got a professional photo taken of her in a short skirt, standing with one leg on the ground and the other on a stool displaying her oriental tattoo which is on her lower leg. She put it next to my night table and wrote a nice note on it thanking me for her new tattoos. After her 5th one, in about 2 weeks I was thinking of getting her a plaque saying “In honor of ________ and the 5 tattoos that enhance her natural beauty. I want the plaque ready so I can present it to her as soon as the tattoo artist is done. How does that sound to you?

That sounds like a fine idea, however you know if your wife will like it or not… Are you going to get a tattoo, or have you already? Maybe you getting one to signify her (don’t get her name) would be a nice idea.

The plaque sounds great… however, I would say “In honor of _____ and the 5 tattoos that illuminate her inner beauty.”

Just my opinion, for what it’s worth. =)

That seems sort of weird to be honest. Are you paying for this tattoo, as well? If so, the tattoo itself is the gift.

Besides, what if she gets more? If she ends up with ten tattoos it will be silly for her to have a plaque commemorating her fifth tattoo. What is so special about it being her fifth?

edited to add: I figured out why I think this is wierd. Plaques are usually to commemerate an event or a memory or something nebulous like that. A tattoo will be with her for the rest of her life. She doesn’t need a plaque to stand in reminder of this event because she will have a reminder forever, already – the tattoo itself!
